ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the technologies onboard the global fleet of vessels such as the deepwater stimulation vessels, along with the role of offshore intervention in the offshore oil industry. Topics include the supply of conventional stimulation vessels to boats, the launch of the Blue Orca stimulation vessel by oilfield services company Baker Hughes, and the development of dynamically positioned (DP) vessel to address the problems associated with offshore intervention operations.
