ABSTRACT
General Motors Corp. shareholders last week defeated all nine proposals at the company's annual meeting as of June 9, 2003. These included a proposal to retain an audit consulting firm separate from the professional service provider Deloitte & Touche LLP, General Motor's auditor; it lost by 93%. A similar proposal, asking for an independent auditor that will not provide consulting services, lost by 90.9%.
