ABSTRACT
The article discusses the prevention of professional apathy in the nursing workplace. The effects of the chronic work condition are mentioned, including increased workload for the achievers, negative patient outcomes and increased care errors. The results of a study that examined the association between job involvement and affective commitment using sensitivity analysis research techniques are also noted.
