ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the rugby football match played between North Queensland Cowboys and Sea Eagles rugby teams at Dairy Farmers Stadium. Bowen cousins, Matthew and Brenton, set the stadium alight with sizzling performances in their first National Rugby League game together. Brenton, just 19, made a huge impact in his first NRL game after coming off the bench with 30 minutes to go. Matthew, at 21 already a veteran of 26 first-grade games, raised the roof with an incisive attacking game which yet again demonstrated an uncanny ability to read the game and it was that unique perception which sealed the result for the Cowboys four minutes from time.
