ABSTRACT
The purpose of the present study was to provide a structural model of organizational learning in universities based on managers' emotional intelligence. The population of the research included all employees of Islamic Azad University (IAU). 554 managers and three employees under their supervision (totally 1662 employees) were selected using stratified and cluster random sampling method. The research instruments were two questionnaires which were administered in 96 IAU branches and education centers: Watkins and Marsick's (1997) organizational learning Questionnaire (α = 0.90) and the Cyberia - Shrink's Questionnaire of emotional intelligence (α = 0.77). The results of path analysis using LISREL software indicated that dimensions of managers' emotional intelligence had a direct effect on organizational learning with the indices of 0.17 for the variable. The model also showed that the factor of self-awareness in managers' emotional intelligence had the highest direct effect on the organizational learning (in organizational level). It was also concluded that the proposed model showed full fit.
