ABSTRACT
The article reports on the suspension of the operation of all air-conditioned (AC) buses between Calcutta and Siliguri. It mention that the suspension was imposed due to the poor condition of the National Highway (NH34) whose repair was hampered due to the state's failure to acquire land for four-laning. According to Swaraj Gosh, general manager of Jai Dada Group of Companies, the suspension is necessary for the road condition to match the fleet of AC buses.
