ABSTRACT
The article discusses the effectiveness of deploying Brigade Combat Team (BCT) of the U.S. Army and the use of leaders to organize for advising foreign security forces (FSF) and for security force assistance (SFA), based on the experience of the 4th BCT of the 101st Airborne Division in August 2010 and March 2013. The evaluation considers various factors including budget, the strategy to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and maneuverability.
