ABSTRACT
The article examines whether pay hikes for chief executive officer (CEO) affect investor decisions. Data presented shows the spread of CEO compensation across bonuses, stock awards and option, equity incentive plans and deferred compensation. Outlook is offered on the relation between compensation and corporate earnings, and the balance between equity incentives and goals. A chart is presented that shows the closing stock price of companies for fiscal years 2013 and 2014 and as of May 1, 2015.
