ABSTRACT
The article discusses the alternative ideas for construction delivery methods and financing for local jails in the U.S. The kinds of alternative project delivery methods jail officials might consider and the kinds of jail construction projects will benefit from the methods are examined. Statistics are offered from business information provider CMD Group on the growth in the numbers of design-build project delivery and the use of construction managers at risk from 2005 to 2010.
