ABSTRACT
The article reports that rig orders by oil drilling contractors have ceased in 2015 due to falling oil prices. Topics include the reduced demand for new rig programs caused by the slowdown in rig orders, the lack of new orders for drillships or tender-assisted rigs as of July 2015, and the struggle of semis and drillships to find work upon delivery.
