ABSTRACT
Blogging is the non-mainstream Internet platform. The word blog is derived from "web log", a constantly updated Internet journal, usually run by one person, are arguably more influential than many in traditional media, attracting millions of readers. "Those who have something to say and know how to say it can reach thousands of people and they don't have to buy ink by the barrel." Says blogger, John Quiggin, University of Queensland economist and contributor to "Australian Financial Review." Old media is gradually tapping into the phenomenon.
