ABSTRACT
The compositions of lipids and fatty acids and the carbohydrate complex from seeds of the endemic plant Stachys hissarica were established. Neutral lipids were dominated by fatty acids 18:2ω6 and 18:1. The principal acid in glyco- and phospholipids was 16:0. Fatty acids of neutral lipids contained trace quantities of 18:2 (5,6) laballenic acid with adjacent double bonds. The carbohydrate complex from S. hissarica seeds was studied and found to include water-soluble polysaccharides, pectinic substances, and hemicellulose. Their physicochemical properties were presented.
