ABSTRACT
The article reports on statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Census which reveal that the chemical industry is facing a shortage of worker supply as the older baby-boomer employees prepare to retire and there is heavy turnover among the younger millennial workers. Chemical companies are facing a loss of their most experienced workers and executives. Susan Christensen, managing director of Accenture Strategy, talent and organisation, said millennials are proving tough to retain.
