ABSTRACT
The paper deals with errors of surveying accessories used for precise measurements in engineering surveying in industry, where submillimeter precision is demanded. The precision of measuring instruments is always considered during the precision planning of measurement. The eccentricities of surveying accessories like tribrach, carrier and prism are not normally considered, although it can cause a gross error in short distance measurement. For experimental determination of the eccentricities was created laboratory micronetwork, which consists of six reflective foils, two forced centering on the pillars for the total stations and one forced centering for placing the tested accessory. The dimensions of network are 25 m x 6 m. The forced centerings make a triangle with sides 4 m, 3 m and 3 m. The tested measurements are performed simultaneously by two total stations at a single target, the coordinates are determined from the intersection of azimuths. Total station's orientation is performed at points of micro-network. Total stations Trimble S6 and S8 with standard deviation of direction measurement 0.3 mgon are used. The eccentricity is then determined with precision of 0.05 mm. To ensure objectivity of experimental measurement the eccentricities are determined in different positions of carrier and final eccentricity is averaged. Within the experimental measurements were tested 10 tribrachs, 6 carriers, 9 prisms and 9 prism sets. For tribrachs has been determined eccentricity up to 0.6 mm. For carriers has been determined eccentricity with a radius up to 0.2 mm. These values of eccentricities are small but in applications in engineering have a significant role and should be considered. For surveying accessories is not implemented the methodology of testing. The proposed procedure allows specify the size of errors, choose the most appropriate accessory or provide plan to customize measurement and eliminate errors.
