ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the stability and strength showed by the Pioneering Spirit, a multi-purpose vessel of offshore pipelay company Allseas during a test, removing the topsides from the Yme platform offshore Norway. It states that the vessel is designed for installation of topsides, removal of heavy jackets, and laying of large-diameter pipes. It mentions that the vessel is scheduled to install the topsides at the Johan Sverdrup field in the Norwegian North Sea in 2018.
