ABSTRACT
GARETH BALE, due in Dublin to face Ireland with Wales in a World Cup qualifier on March 24, will miss the Clasico in 10 days' time and may require surgery after Real Madrid confirmed he damaged tendons in his right ankle in the Champions League win at Sporting Lisbon on Tuesday. As well as sitting out the visit to the Nou Camp on December 3, the 27-year-old is also certain to miss Real Madrid's final group match with Borussia Dortmund that will decide top spot and is a doubt for the FIFA Club World Cup next month.
