ABSTRACT
Thanks in large part to a $1.7 billion bailout by Ford Motor Co. in Visteon Corp. which expects to be profitable for the first time in 2004. Visteon anticipates net income of as much as $130 million this year, compared with a loss of as much as $1.25 billion for 2003. For the fourth quarter of 2003, Visteon expects a loss of as much as $900 million on revenue of $4.4 billion, compared with a loss of $34 million in fourth-quarter 2002 on revenue of $4.5 billion. Visteon will transfer back to Ford some of the 20,000 Ford employees who are on Visteon's payroll.
