ABSTRACT
IT'S enlightening when Lily Allen enters the national debate. "I've only ever been sexually assaulted by white males," was the stroppy songster's reply to the malign frothing of the English Defence League's leader about the criminal intentions of migrants. Alas, her anecdote is as meaningless as the EDL's grim determination to find more criminality among non-whites than the rest of the population. Both sides are virtue-signalling like crazy to get approbation from people who already agree with them.
