ABSTRACT
Reports that the U.S. army wants to award a contract to the Dupuy Institute in Washington, D.C., to calculate the possible intensity and duration of a guerrilla war in Iraq. Observation that U.S. combat deaths in Iraq are approaching 600 since major combat operations ended; What the institute will be asked to study; How the study will provide the basis for estimating costs and attempt to address projected force sizes.
