ABSTRACT
This article presents the results of a a survey commissioned by Clayton & Dubilier that the trend of corporate restructuring and divestiture will continue into 1988. A majority of corporate executives believe global competition is forcing many companies to sell off businesses that can not be profitable. It is also a way to prevent hostile takeovers.
