ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the effect of N,N-Dimethyl Formamide used as organic solvent. In order to make many water-insoluble chemicals, such as pesticides, PAHs and other organic compounds dissolve efficiently in experiment systems, organic solvents are widely employed as solubilizer in industry or laboratory bioassays. Most reports on comparative toxicity of solvents towards test organisms deal with the effects of solvents on fish and aquatic invertebrates, with some data available for blue-green algae and green algae.
