This article reports that newcomer Wild International is shaming larger competitors with its innovative methods of recruiting and retaining drivers. Managing director Richard Wild, who formed the company in December 2003, said that in too many businesses drivers become numbers, but not here. He believes that while this personal approach helps to retain staff, the key to attracting them in the first place is often financial. Wild International currently pays 475 pound per week, with 20 pound for nights out. Other financial incentives include a Driver of the Month scheme, which awards a cash prize of 100 pound.
