In addition to running the paper's sales and custom publishing operations, Gates will assume an expanded corporate role, including oversight of some business operations of the company, and will act as top executive in the publisher's stead. Before coming to LIBN, he was national sales director for Hotel Interactive, an Internet news and marketing company serving the hospitality industry.
