ABSTRACT
The article reports that Holiday Taxis has set up a groups department to take bookings for more than 10 people over the telephone. All other bookings are made online, but managing director Paul Stanyer admitted it was difficult to process group requests over the Internet. Agents can also use the service for block bookings, even if the holidaymakers are not travelling together as a group. The company has also improved booking functionality on its Web site. Agents now get a short description of the vehicle, with prices calculated on a per-person basis to make it easier to give clients a quote, and booking confirmation can be printed out straight away.
