This article examines the performance of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during the war against terrorism. The article includes information regarding the bureaucratic deformations within the agency, the reasons for the U.S. failure in the war against terrorism according to author Michael Scheuer, and the need for CIA employees to avoid the political dimension of things in the performance of their duty.
