Tektronix's LTS21: Real World Wireless Stress Testing

The article reports that with the debut of its LTS21 Wireless Load Tester, Tektronix Inc., wireless operators and their network equipment counterparts will have a configurable load test system that can create "real world" 3G testing scenarios. Combining high data rates for control-plane anti user-plane traffic, the LTS21 proactively identifies weaknesses within the network and eliminates trouble spots. The LTS21 can test 3G networks with realistic and simulated mobile traffic including both user-plane scaling from thousands to millions of mobile units, and control plane, including signaling messages sent during a handover session as mobile units roam between cells.
