ABSTRACT
Nowadays, commercial, military, academic and govermental institutions have been using internet for cooperating with other institutions; reaching and sharing information and making research. Internet has also affected the quality of the educational institutions and enriched the teaching and learning process. Moreover, internet provides valuable and enriching experiences to teachers and students. However, usage internet efficiently ill the learning and teaching processes depends on the effective usage of internet by teachers and their information literacy skills. Teachers could be equipped with information literacy and internet usage skills through in-service and pre-service teacher training programs. In this study, prospective teachers' information literacy level and frequencies as well as reasons why they use internet are explored. Prospective teachers' internet usage frequencies and their purposes of internet usage were also investigated according to their information literacy.
