ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a Rugby League football match between the Newcastle Knights and the Penrith Panthers, in which Clint Newton was the hero. The Newcastle defeated the Penrith. Newton copped a 12-match ban late last year and returned six weeks ago to a winless Knights side in the depths of despair. But Newton--and the Knights--showed true grit to fight back from 14-0 down at half-time to post their first win of the season. Newton contributed 21 tackles and 15 powerful hit-ups to the Knights' cause, finally laying to rest the demons of his high shot on the Penrith Panthers forward Ashton Sims in round 24 last year.
