El artículo habla del aniversario del asesinato del jesuita salvadoreño Oscar Arnulfo Romero, un evento que grabó la atención del mundo y presentó una realidad sobre la muerte en América Latina. Es difícil, si no imposible, entender como se puede olvidar o justificar masacres y asesinatos diarios como los que aflige El Salvador. Lo que hizo el arzobispo Romero y varios otros sacerdotes asesinados fue luchar por los derechos humanos de los pobres de la sociedad. Es importante reconocer que la Iglesia tiene el derecho de opinar en casos como los derechos de todos los seres humanos, particularmente en pueblos que son principalmente cristianos.
