The article reports that Gruppo Intesa and Credit Agricole are set to join forces to create an asset management company. The creation of a new Franco-Italian asset management powerhouse led by CA is likely to have a significant impact on the sector in Europe, as it becomes the continent's fourth largest asset manager. The deal sees CA Asset Management Italia and Gruppo Intesa's Nextra Investment Management integrated into a single asset management company. The deal will give CA a 65 percent stake in the combined body.
