ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of Alaska Permanent Fund Corp. to increase its alternative investment allocation during its board meeting on November 15, 2005 in the U.S. According to a press release from the Web site of the plan, the fund's allocation to absolute return strategies was increased to 4% from 1%. The private equity allocation was also raised to 4%. The absolute return portfolio of the plan returned 7.9% in 2004, according to the press release.
