ABSTRACT
The article describes the Slab Bridge Designer 2.0, a computer software product developed by Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute to help engineers design site-cast reinforced concrete in the U.S. The software was developed to comply with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials' load and resistance factor design bridge (LRFD) specifications. Four input screens allow the designer to set LRFD or load factor design inputs for any of the three slab bridge types and eight output screens provide graphical or tubular results on user screens or in web browser windows.
