ABSTRACT
The article reports on the development of an advanced version of the European Computer Driving License (ECDL) in 2004. Over 20,000 people have signed up for the license in Great Britain. Modules of the advanced version include word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation graphics. Certificate holders of the Advanced ECDL can prove they have the competence to use computers to an accomplished level.
