ABSTRACT
The article discusses U.S. President George W. Bush's small-business budget cuts. Democratic House Representative Nydia M. Velazquez of New York claims that dozens of programs aimed at providing technical assistance or capital to entrepreneurs face cuts or outright elimination and that $600 million would be cut from small-business programs. She adds that the Small Business Administration's budget has shrunk by more than 50% since Bush took office.
