ABSTRACT
The article on the escalation of the federal government's crackdown on immigrants after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the U.S. The Department of Agriculture has restricted a number of Somali businesses selling meat processed according to Muslim beliefs due to unusual transaction patterns suggesting fraud. The community activists argued that business dealings can be explained in terms of cultural patterns among Somali immigrants. The Immigration and Naturalization Service has also practice the deportation of immigrants who have visa violations.
