ABSTRACT
The article relates on the nuclear accident at the Three-Mile Island nuclear plant in Pennsylvania on March 30, 1979. This event is the first major accident at a commercial facility in the U.S. The problems on the reactors have only began on March 28, 1979 but school administrators of public and private schools within a 10-mile radius of the reactors were not informed by officials at General Public Utilities Nuclear Inc. which is operating the plant for the General Public Utilities Corp.
