ABSTRACT
The article praises the vigilance shown by scientists following the ruling of U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones III to reject the Dover, Pennsylvania, Area School District's inclusion of intelligent design in its science curriculum. But scientists like Kenneth R. Miller, Francisco J. Ayala and Joel Cracraft indicated that while they were gratified with the ruling, the intelligent design movement, though weakened, is not dead. In fact, post-Dover antievolution legislation has arisen in several U.S. states.
