ABSTRACT
This article reports that the company Sunvil Latin America has introduced a new tour that starts and finishes in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Guayaquil, Ecuador's second city and main port, is currently seeing the benefits of a multi-million dollar regeneration. A three-kilometre riverside promenade and leisure zone called the Malecon 2000 has been developed, and a former slum area of Santa Ana Hill has been given a face-lift to become a popular tourist attraction. The new tour, called Ecuador Uncovered, takes in Guayaquil's highlights, including the Malecon 2000 as well as the city's parks--the park near the cathedral is a must-see because of the large iguanas sleeping in the trees.
