ABSTRACT
The article reports that 113 new cases of HIV were diagnosed in Iowa in 2005, the highest since the tracking of new cases began in 1998. The increase for the last two years was primarily among white men born in the United States. Statistics also report that nearly 75 percent of new cases stemmed from men having sex with another men, and that the youngest new case was in a 20-year-old man.
