ABSTRACT
The article reports on the poor response of Iranian intelligence and security agencies to attacks on government offices and other targets near Iraq. Iran is experiencing a decline in intelligence community since the end of the Iran-Iraq war in 1988. Former Iranian operatives have suggested to develop a unified intelligence and security infrastructure to unify resources and efforts.
