ABSTRACT
This article discusses the movement of international brand-name corporations into Middle Eastern markets. Companies such as the Gap, Ikea, and Emporio Armani have begun to negotiations for retail locations in the Middle East, where the retail sector has seen dramatic growth since 2001. Corporations are even developing plans to develop retail locations in political hot spots in the region.
