ABSTRACT
The article reports on the argument of the International Energy Agency (IEA) on the report that most renewable energy sources are not cost-effective. The IEA asserts that renewable energy such as wind power, photovoltaics, hydropower and biomass have a huge potential. They supply clean energy and can replace the decreasing fossil fuel resources over the long run. Hence, the IEA continues to offer guidance for future development of renewable energy technologies.
