ABSTRACT
The article offers information about the Los Alamos Laboratory in the U.S. It relates the continuum of events occurring in succession leading from the past and gives an account relative to its achievements rendered to the nation. According to the author, the laboratory is the country's principal institution for the development of atomic weapons. Through the years, it garnered momentous success in the field of fission weapons and has been followed by equal accomplishments in the fusion field. These accomplishments are the result of a remarkable group endeavor and the devoted and skillful effort of the individuals of the staff of the Laboratory.
