The article reports that after running a red light with no sirens on and causing a traffic accident on the southeast corner of Nostrand Avenue and Macon Street in Brooklyn, New York City, Police Department officers assaulted and even arrested community members who rushed to the scene of the accident. Pedestrians and residents who came to see what happened at the site of accident, and offer help if they could, were pushed back by the police and even assaulted. Infact, many victims of the police assault are not yet ready to talk with the press, because they do not want to be identified and feared retaliation.
