ABSTRACT
The article discusses issues on immigration and citizenship in the U.S. The U.S. has a good economy with significant potential for employment. Non-citizens entering the U.S. categorized as lawful permanent residents, non-immigrants and undocumented migrants. The Rule of Naturalization, allowed any alien, being a free white person and of good character who had resided in the country for two years to become a citizen by taking an oath in court to support the Constitution.
