ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the evolution of single trip systems in deepwater exploration in the Gulf of Mexico. The industry's growing rig rates and project development costs has been the major factors in the development of single trip technology. The system was designed to allow washdown and gravel packing activities to occur with a single trip. It has the ability to perform selective stimulation in the same trip. It also facilitates perforation and sand control operations to be performed in a single trip.
