ABSTRACT
The article highlights the new study on sustainable energy as biofuels grow and flourish in Brazil. The study "Liquid Biofuels for Transportation in Brazil" envisions an optimistic biofuels future within the next decade. It also put on guard that the plans for expansion within a decade are daunting, calling for a significant research and development, substantial investment of private capital and laws to defend the most biodiversity-rich in the world. Accordingly, the sugarcane-based ethanol is now a mature industry in Brazil, an indicator of its biofuel development.
