ABSTRACT
The article discusses the viability of renewable energy as a solution to the rising energy costs and the rising problems on environmental, health and geopolitical issues. The continuous improvements and cost reductions have drive the increase in sales of photovoltaics and wind systems annually. In this article, the indicators whether a wind energy will work for a particular application is also discussed including the significance of a proper siting, the right wind source, the local laws regulating the use of towers and the requirements of the utility companies.
