Success in the Graduate School

The article investigates the problem of predicting academic success in the graduate school in the U.S. Many different methods of selection have been used, but the most objective bases have been the high-school records of students, group intelligence tests, and college-entrance examinations. The problem of the investigation to be reported here is the determination of the value of several different factors for predicting success in the graduate school. The results of the study is presented in terms of correlation coefficients which give the relationship between the various factors described in previous studies.
