The article focuses on a social networking Web site called Dodgeball.com. The service's goal is to help a user figure out whether his friends or people who might be friendly are nearby. Dodgeball relies on users to create and continually refine its content. It mashes up data and services like mapping systems, networking software and messaging services. Other activities that can be done using the Internet include getting news from customized news sites and listening to radio show by podcast. Babel Fish can be used to translate foreign-language documents.
